In life we are often dealt circumstances beyond our understanding or control. These experiences can be the result of a strained relationship, unresolved trauma, loss or dissatisfaction with life’s journey. Many times these experiences distort our perception, causing sadness or anxiety. These events often diminish our ability to enjoy life the way we once did.

In practice I have supported adults and children cope with depression, anxiety and trauma. I have also worked closely with individuals/families continue to live with purpose after a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. I have found Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to be an effective approach in facilitating the growth needed to regain emotionally satisfying lives.
